De Nederlandse Overheid ReferentieArchitectuur (NORA) bevat beleidskaders, principes, standaarden, bouwstenen en een begrippenkader. Het basismodel van zonering is een belangrijk beschouwingsmodel van NORA en beschrijft een model om risico's te isoleren zodat bedreigingen en incidenten uit een zone niet kunnen doorwerken in de andere zone. Een theoretisch model zal uiteindelijk praktisch geïmplementeerd moeten worden om het daadwerkelijk te gebruiken binnen een infrastructuur. VMware NSX is een van de middelen die een architect tot zijn beschikking staat om het zoneringsmodel te implementeren. In deze presentatie ga ik in op het NORA zoneringsmodel en hoe dit model geïmplementeerd kan worden binnen VMware NSX.

VMware kondigt een aantal nieuwe IoT-producten en -partnerships aan die de complexiteit van IoT-implementaties wegnemen en waarmee klanten grote stappen kunnen zetten in hun digitale transformatie. Tijdens deze sessie presenteert en demonstreert Ton Hermes, de VMware IoT strategie en krijgt u een beeld hoe uw organisatie een IoT platform kunt inzetten waarmee u klaar bent voor de vierde industriële revolutie.
Volgens recent onderzoek van Gartner zullen er in 2020 wereldwijd meer dan 20,4 miljard ‘connected things’ in gebruik zijn. Bedrijven hebben behoefte aan snellere, real-time analyse van de grote hoeveelheid data die door deze ‘things’ op hun netwerken wordt gegenereerd.

Steeds vaker komt de vraag vanuit applicatie testen dat ze graag willen werken met productie data. Hier vindt men doorgaans 2 uitdagingen:

Hoe kan je “on the fly” zonder enige verlies aan performance en beschikbaarbeid een clone maken van je productiemachines
Het anonimiseren van de productiedata wordt steeds belangrijker. (NB: deze sessie richt zich hier niet op!)

FlexVirtual heeft bij twee van haar klanten een standaard methode toegepast waarmee in voorspelbare stappen bovengenoemd proces geautomatiseerd kan worden.
Beide gebruikten verschillende infra technologieën, twee producten waren hetzelfde: VMware vSphere en vRealize Orchestrator.

Ik zal ook uitleggen hoe operationele en onderhoudstaken kunnen worden uitgevoerd met de SDDC manager van VCF. De Container Service Extension voegt een add-on toe aan vCloud Director, waarmee met het bestaande vCloud Director platform gebruikers kunnen werken met Kubernetes clusters.
